My definition of procrastination: it is the fact that a person otherwise sound mind to be overwhelmed by a task and not knowing where to attack, which has consequence of constantly finding other things to do, often in very indirect relation with the task.
To combat procrastination, one solution, make the task less overwhelming. To do this, divide it into tiny subtasks, whose realization will appear much more accessible. I
thirty years and I do not have my license. It could be the name of a Facebook group. Moreover, it certainly is, but I will not check, not to derogate from any of the rules I have set myself. I'm talking about rules to fight against my procrastination acute in terms of license. In this case, one of them is not to spend more time than necessary to recount the evolution of the process on this blog. Therefore it will take no effort on style or even consistency in the posts that will follow in the coming weeks.
For this year, the web is me witness, I'll pass this permit. This could be a resolution in the air, it would only the tenth time. We'll see. Still, now that I decided to go about it methodically:
- Me set specific goals with short-term maturity . Each
- main objective reached in time gives me 5 points + 1 point bonus if I blogged in 24 hours and less than 20 minutes (important to keep the blog is an excuse for procrastination). Each
- secondary objective gives me 2 points. Each
- days beyond the deadline makes me lose -1 point.
- Each last week without meeting one of my goals I am losing -2 points.
Main Objective No. 1 : buy the CD-ROM (or on-line version, if it exists) of Green light for the license
Deadline: Thursday, March 25 to 23 hours (I give myself 48 hours)
The next objective will concern the pace of lessons on the CD-ROM above.
Secondary Objective: To determine a deadline for passing the theory.
I unfortunately failed to meet the maximum 20 minutes for this post, so I do law at any point.
